Sherridon Homes COVID-19 Corporate Announcement

“We are very much still open for business”

Firstly, our thoughts are with those who are directly impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the brave and committed professionals and carers who are at the frontline of this epidemic.

With the rapid escalation of COVID-19, Sherridon Homes have been busy over the past weeks planning and implementing best practices to ensure we exceed our health, safety, business and customer service standards and obligations.

The health and wellbeing of our staff, clients and purchasers are our priority. We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation regularly and remain agile in responding to the advice of the Australian and Victorian Governments and the World Health Organisation to reduce the spread of this virus.

Our Business

As always, we are here to make getting into your new home a great experience, and you can expect additional safeguards throughout our business to ensure your safety, and that of our employees.

During this rapidly changing environment, our sales, operations and construction teams remain open and we are committed to providing exceptional services to all our purchasers, pre-site and on-site customers.

We will continue to show leadership within the property industry and be a conduit of timely and relevant information.

Our Construction Activity

The Victorian Government has announced that construction has reopened from the 5th of October as it is deemed an essential service, therefore we will continue to work on your new home.

From the 22nd of October, all sites can go to 100% workforce capacity if workers have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or have a valid medical exemption. Our construction activity will operate under COVID safe requirements to ensure the safety of our staff and the community.

Our Staff

Our business is fortunate that many of our staff can work remotely as part of their weekly duties. For office bound staff, we have strategies and technology in place to help them work from home when needed.

Creating virtual office spaces for our staff will primarily keep our staff safe and healthy.  It also helps us to adapt easily to the increasing challenges while maintaining our level of service to our valued purchasers and customers.

Our Head Office

Our head office in Melbourne is closed however our offices in Ballarat and Gippsland are open. Face masks remain mandatory in all indoor settings and QR code checks ins will be required.

Please contact our staff members directly if you have any questions or contact us at the office on 03 8390 1000.

Our Display Centres

From the 30th of October, our display homes will be reopening under Covid safe guidelines. No bookings are required however we ask that everyone comply with indoor mask rules.

Density limits will be reinforced to our displays and customers will have to check-in using the check-in QR codes which will be present throughout our homes. For those who cannot find the QR code or have trouble checking in, please ask our friendly staff members to assist. There will also be a sign-in sheet for those who do not have a smartphone.

Currently, customers do not need to be vaccinated to enter a display home or selection centre, however, the Victorian Government has indicated that this may change when the 90 per cent vaccination target is met on or around 24th of November 2021.

Please note that once these rules change, customers will be required to show proof of vaccination upon visiting our display homes and selection centres and that those who are unvaccinated may be prohibited from visiting our displays.

Sherridon Homes is taking this matter seriously to ensure our staff and customer’s health and wellbeing is protected.

We urge all our customers, stakeholders and partners to play their part in controlling the spread of the virus. Please remain vigilant of the health and safety measures and advice being communicated by Federal and State Governments and leading health organisations.  Abiding by these precautions together and looking after one another, we will navigate these difficult times safely.

There’s no doubt these are challenging times for Australia. If we come together as a community, our culture of mateship and supporting each other will see us all through the months ahead. Despite these current events, Sherridon Homes remains dedicated to helping you build your dream home.

We encourage you to contact us on 03 8390 1000 if you have any questions or concerns.
